Re: Would You Like Some Oral with Your Dinner?

I'm branching out and doing writing projects for a variety of publications and websites. My most recent piece was published this morning where I discussed my intense love for my short pixie haircut and how to pull off such a cropped look, both my opinion and the opinions of experts were shared. I thought it was time to write something that has a little bit more of a mass appeal...I've also got a pile of chick lit books that were donated to me by friends as "research" for how to make my rewrite more, oh how do you say, palatable? I don't read chick lit...I'd take Bukowski's drunken and misogynist swill over chick lit any day...this has also led my father to make comments like: "Mandy, you write like a man." I'm still not sure what that means, but I'm taking it as a compliment. I'm never going to write some sort of Plum Sykes trash about a needy woman who will only be fulfilled by marriage and a country house. I am, however, going to write about blowjobs.

My next piece for this great new website (they've already made it to Page Six) will be about the art of giving head. Mind you, I do not consider myself an expert on the subject at all...so I signed up for a class here in the city. It's a two hour long class that consists of a goody bag, adult beverages, and useful information that will last a lifetime. I figure I didn't quite kill my father with my story about my rendez-vous in Paris on Pomegranate Seeds, so I'd try again. That was a joke.

I leave for Austin on Monday. I've put together an intense itinerary of shows and free beer spots that are bound to leave me in some sort of haze by the time I head back to New York first thing Saturday morning...or at the very least a permanent disdain for the hipster community.

I will not be bringing my beloved Macbook to Texas, so posts will be pretty limited next week...however, I'm still open to drinks with readers. I already have a couple of you lined up...and honestly, I'm pretty excited...and usually I only get this excited when someone trips and falls in front of me.

xo.Mandy.

I find that hilarious that they teach classes about giving head. You don't find that in the suburbs!
